Frequently Asked Questions

What is a bioethanol fireplace?

A bioethanol fireplace is an eco-friendly alternative to a traditional fireplace. It can be safely used in any well-ventilated room in your home or apartment, as well as on balconies, terraces, and in gardens. Its construction is made from materials resistant to high temperatures, ensuring safe use.

How does a bioethanol fireplace work?

Bioethanol fireplaces run on biofuel, which is derived from ethyl alcohol. They do not require a chimney, gas connection, or electricity, allowing you to place them freely wherever you like. This makes them a convenient and flexible heating solution.

Is a bioethanol fireplace safe?

Yes. Bio fireplaces are simple devices designed with safety in mind. They do not require chimneys and burn ecological alcohol, which eliminates the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and exercise standard caution when using the fireplace.

Can a bioethanol fireplace provide heat?

Yes. Bio fireplaces work well as an additional heat source. They can raise the temperature of a room by approximately 2–3°C in a short time. However, they are not intended to be the main heating system. Choosing the right size fireplace for your room is essential for optimal heating results. For example, in a room of about 25m², the temperature increase will be noticeable.

Where can I use a bioethanol fireplace?

Bio fireplaces can be used in both houses and apartments. The installation surface should always be non-flammable, such as a concrete wall. They are also suitable for outdoor use on terraces or in gardens during good weather, but should be protected from moisture.

Can a bioethanol fireplace be installed under a TV?

A bio fireplace should be placed at least 60 cm away from flammable materials. If installed under a TV or other electronic devices, you should allow for a greater distance, as heat rises upward. We cannot guarantee the safety of electronics installed above the fireplace, as this depends on their fire resistance.

What type of biofuel should I use?

For our bio fireplaces, use liquid bioethanol fuel with a maximum ethanol content of 96%. We recommend using biofuel produced by our company. Gel fuels are not recommended.

Does burning bioethanol produce odors?

No. Our neutral biofuel burns cleanly without producing smoke or odors.

How long does bioethanol fuel burn?

Burn time depends on the size of the flame and the specific fireplace model. On average, 1 litre of biofuel burns for 2–7 hours, allowing you to plan usage accordingly.

How do I safely extinguish a bioethanol fireplace?

Each bio fireplace comes with a special extinguisher tool that cuts off the oxygen supply to the burner. Within a few moments, the flame is extinguished. Once the burner has cooled, the fireplace is ready to use again.

How do I clean a bioethanol fireplace?

Bio fireplaces do not produce soot or smoke. To clean, simply wipe the surface gently with a microfiber cloth.
